Ironman  (3 Men/1 Woman)
Selection Criteria 


Selection is made by application only. List all experience in the sport on application (use
additional sheets of paper if necessary or attach resume). Must include detailed
information reflecting experience competing in the sport of Triathlon. Results should
include the name of the race, date, city/state, finishing time, race distance, size of field,
age group, and military placing, if applicable. (Example: 5th of 434 overall, 2nd of 35 in
age group 20-24). Candidates will be ranked based upon experience and
accomplishments using the following factors (ranked in order of importance):

* Completion of IRONMAN distance race within the last 12 months (2.4 mile
swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 run)
* Completion of ½ IRONMAN distance race within the calendar year of the
race for which they are applying (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile
run)
* Finish at IRONMAN Triathlon World Championship (last 3 years)
* Finish at CISM Championship (last 3 years)
* Finishes at other equivalent National/International competitions (last 3 years)
* Previous member of Army IRONMAN team (last 3 years)
* Finish at Armed Forces Championship (last 3 years)
* Previous member of All Army Triathlon team (last 3 years)
* Previous participant in All Army Triathlon trial camp (last 3 years)
* Referral by current IRONMAN team member
* Referral by Sports Director
* Completeness, legibility, and timeliness of application packet.
